Hi, I’m yoga master Mandy. This best yoga mat blog is one of my pastimes – I’m writing it to improve my essay-writing skills while sharing with others what I know about yoga mats. I hope it’s going to be useful for the yoga students out there especially beginners and those who’re training at home, to choose the best yoga mat for yoga.
The yoga mat is an important accessory for yoga practice. Having the right yoga mat will make your yoga training go much smoother because yoga requires much concentration and the slightest discomfort with the yoga mat will affect your training.

If you’ve been practicing yoga for sometime, you’ll probably know some basic needs with a yoga mat. The best yoga mat has a good size, stays on the spot and offers a non-slid surface even if you sweat on it.
And what about the material of the yoga mat? I’ve used mats that have surfaces that flake off after some washings, and mats that are impossible to get clean. Besides, you wouldn’t want a yoga mat that stinks of PVC or one that is so thin that your knees graze on the floor.
As you can see already, choosing a yoga mat needs some careful thinking and I’ll write more detailed pointers on how to choose the best yoga mat soon.
What else would yoga practitioners want to know about yoga mats? Maybe how to maintain a yoga mat in tip top condition? I will write an article on that as well. After yoga practice, it’s good to spend a few minutes taking care of your yoga mat if you want the best out of it.
Well, that’s all for this first post. More articles and yoga mat reviews for my hand-picked best yoga mats to come in my Best Yoga Mat blog soon.
